Abdul Sattar Edhi
Abdul Sattar Edhi was a prominent Pakistani philanthropist , social worker, ascetic and humanitarian . He was the founder and head of Eidhi Foundation which was founded in 1951. The main focus of this foundation was Emergency Services , Orphans, Handicapped Persons, shelters, education, healthcare, International Community Centers, Blood and drug Banking, Air Ambulance Services, Marine and Coastal Services. He ran the organization for the better of six decades. He was known as the Angel of Mercy and was considered Pakistan's most respected and legendary figure. Revered by many as national hero, Edhi created a charitable empire out of nothing. He masterminded Pakistan's largest welfare organization almost single-handedly, entirely with private donations and grants . His slogan was "Live and help Live".
